Meet Helen Stylz

Hi, I’m Helen Founder of Helen Stylz.

Hair has always been a part of my life. I grew up in my mother’s salon, where I spent countless days and evenings watching, learning, and eventually practising protective styles such as sew-ins, stitch braids, and knotless braids. What began as curiosity quickly became a deep passion for the artistry and care involved in styling Afro-Caribbean hair.​

With over 15 years of experience, I created Helen Stylz to offer more than just hair appointments. My goal was to build a space where women with textured hair feel prioritised, understood, and completely comfortable while caring for their hair.

Over the years, Helen Stylz has grown through the power of word-of-mouth and loyal clients, which is something I am incredibly grateful for. Knowing that women trust me with their hair and their confidence is one of my greatest achievements.

Today, my work continues to evolve as I deepen my focus on healthy hair practices, natural hair care, and high-quality protective styling. My mission is not only to serve my clients but also to contribute to raising the standard of care and professionalism within the Afro-Caribbean hair industry.

Building Helen Stylz with women like me in mind has been an incredible journey, and I look forward to continuing to grow, serve, and expand this vision in the years to come.
